Once your new hosted exchange solution has been correctly provisioned, setting up access via Microsoft Outlook 2010 is a simple process that any user should be able to complete.
Technical Pre-requisites
· Outlook 2010 has been installed as the default email client on the computer
o If required, the full outlook client can be downloaded from the following locations:

· The users mailbox has been correctly provisioned, and the following details are known:
o Username (typically your email address)
o Password (provided by IT)
· The ‘autodiscover’ and ‘mx’ domain records have been correctly registered for the customer domain, as per the ‘Extend – Services DNS Configuration’ document.
For purposes of this example setup configuration document, we are using the credentials for the setup@example.co.za mailbox. Please DO NOT use the credentials stipulated in this document.
Outlook Profile Setup
Step 1: Select the ‘Mail’ icon from the Control Panel.
Step 2: Select ‘E-mail Accounts’, and select ‘New’ on the ‘E-mail’ account tab.
Step 3: Select ‘E-mail Account’ in the ‘Add New Account’ tab.
Step 4: In the ‘Auto Account Setup’ tab, insert your unique username (email address) and password. Once the fields have been populated, select the ‘next’ button.
Step 5: Once the profile setup has completed, select ‘Finish’
The first time you open Outlook with your new profile, it will take several minutes to setup your new mailbox within the outlook client. This will only happen the first time you open Outlook with a new email profile.
